My purging ceremony resulted in two garbage bags full of Goodwill donations and $9 from Plato’s Closet. (Hey, a girl takes whatever she can get.)
Unfortunately, money I thought I’d be spending on new duds has gone to the husband’s party fund — see how I’m happily embracing this whole “selflessness in marriage” thing? — so I’m left to reimagine the pieces I chose to keep. (Which, as it turns out, wasn’t many.)
In the meantime, I’m dreaming of the following spring/summer items for my newly cleaned closet:
A clutch from Emersonmade
Red (or blue) Toms
khaki shorts
Floral shirt (bonus if it's work appropriate)
Another floral dress (maybe with a denim jacket?)
Floral skirt
A versatile cardigan
Or a polka-dotted one
A cute top or two
A lightweight jacket (I'm thinking Boston...)
Did I mention a floral dress?
A good pair of dressy sandals
Want to know the great part? Everything on this list goes with something already in my closet. And I think Audrey/Zooey/Kathleen would totally approve.
