spoken in the shop, vol. 5.

On shock and awe
"Wow. Oh, wow. Wow."
(spoken by a baby toddling around the store)

|||

On page length
"I bought this book for my Kindle, and I'm really glad I did, because look how big it is in real life!"

|||

On convenience
"I used to shop at a local bookstore, but then they never had what I wanted, and they'd tell me they could order it for me, but why would I order it from them when I could just have it delivered straight to my house? Plus, you can buy books online for like 25 cents."

|||

On quality over quantity
"You guys don't have that many books, but the ones you do have are good ones."

|||

On gratitude
"Look! I'm buying an airplane! An airplane! I LOVE IT."

|||

On the written word being alive and well
"I just love books. I still love books. I know there are e-readers, but I just love books and libraries."

|||

On parental deal-making
"If you read it, I'll buy it. That's the deal. Read it, and I'll buy it."
