girls' day.

{our girls' day invitations, designed by my fuzzin -- beautiful, don't you think?}

So this weekend, the ladies of the college and young professionals group at church are hosting a girls' day for the middle school and high school girls. We've been planning for a few months now, and I'm sending up prayers that everything goes smoothly. I know it will (not because I'm in control, but because, as usual, Someone else is). Our theme is SIMPLE living, and I'm thrilled with how everyone is coming together and using their individual gifts to make this day special.

Aside from helping decorate for the event (hopefully I'll have pictures Monday), I have the pleasure of getting to be one of tomorrow's speakers, and I'm so excited! God blessed me with so many opportunities to speak in different venues for Him last year, and I'm hoping this year, more of those opportunities will arise. At the risk of self-promotion, if you or a congregation you know is interested in having someone speak to their girls or ladies in the coming year, let me know! I'd love to play a part!

That being said, be praying for tomorrow! The girls of our congregation deserve something spectacular, and I hope God will allows us to give them that tomorrow. Happy weekending!

I am praying! I'm so excited that this is happening. I remember talking to you about connecting with the middle and high school students in the church. I'm so glad to see it's happening. Please post about it afterwards. I'd love to hear how it goes!
